Hi

I have a 4 year old Hotpoint Ariston ARFX 145.

Now I can't seem to change the program with the programme wheel. The machine works as good as new except for the wheel. Just one (default) programme works. I can change speed and temperature with the buttons.

Is there something I han try to get it fixed or is it doomed? (Calling a repair man is too expensive, costs more than the machine is worth)

Thanks in advance

A lot of modern programme selector knobs just operate a micro switch (or similar) at the back as opposed to turning cogs and switches like in the old days. It might be worth unplugging the machine and having a look in case something's come loose or there's something on it you can try a bit of WD-40 on.

Thanks for your reply

Indeed it was :)

The plastic house inside the wheel hade been cracked in two pieces. I put a plastic stripe to hold it together and now it works.
