Just a quick question ,

My daughter bought a washing machine from Littlewoods ..... Swan 2020B

Machine was running normally then all of a sudden , went into a fast spin (loud) , stopped & pause light flashed.

Turned on/off mains now all it does constant red light .

Iv'e stripped it down, Motor & Pump seem fine so i'm leaning towards a PCB . Im i right ? Or could it be something else ?

Ive also took out the PCB so i could ID it etc .... and i got the Vestel Part No 32011928 (PRG 724002-00) (AKO 721985-07)

Nothing spare parts wise for Vestel in UK but managed to find one in Italy http://bit.ly/1lyzb2u .

It's a long way to come if i'm wrong with my diagnosis ,

Any help will be much appriciated .

After doing a bit of reseach , these arn't a good machine and spare parts are near impossible to get.

Swan ain't what it use to be , Anybody who reads this dont buy anything Swan .. its not the Brand we know .

http://bit.ly/1lyxBOd .

Regards

Pete

I'm afraid the idea of Swan making washing machines is a joke to me, same with Russell Hobs and various other companies who have never made washing machines. They just decide to start selling them with no idea about them at all. They get someone else to make them putting their name on it. If I had the money I could launch Washerhelp washing machines. They aren't proper brands, they are usually cheap to buy and as you say spares and aftersales service are very poor. It's like they aren't intended to be repaired.

Buying a PCB would be very unwise especially from abroad (it's a used pcb on your link). It's very hard to get the right PCBs as they can be different even on machines with the exact same model number and you usually need to match it with serial number or date code ranges. Also, it's not necessarily the PCB, could be other things. If you really want or need to get it fixed I'd contact Swan.
