Haier Washing Machine Door Won't Open After Electric Tripped

Hello,

The electric tripped when I switched the washing machine on. Sorted out the trip and set the machine off on its wash cycle but now the door won't open so I imagine the trip has affected the locking mechanism somehow.

Have tried unplugging for 30 minutes but that did not help; have run another cycle to see if that helps but when the cycle ends it still won't open? Any ideas please as I need to get that washing out!
