Hello, I hope a kind soul can help with an issue I'm having with my washing machine as I'm a bit skint. The lights on my hotpoint wt 400 top loading hybrid washing machine no longer illuminate, it appears as there is no power. The washer came with the house I bought and worked a treat. It has a feed for hot and cold but I now only have cold supply so I put in a Y piece. The Y piece had a slight leak so I turned off the cold water supply until I found time to fix it. My cousin turned on the machine whilst I was out, when she came back the next morning it was dead, I've checked the fuse and outlet, but they are good. Another problem is I can't get access to the electrics or control panel at the back of the washer, the side panels come off easy, but this washer is a bit more complicated than any others I've opened before.

In a nutshell, please can you tell me....

1. What the most likely fault is?

2. How do I get access to the electrics and control board?

I've attached a picture

Thank you

Jay

Does it work on spin by any chance? If the washer was on with no water supply the inlet water valve could have failed so it is dead on wash. If so it should still spin though?

Hello Andy, no, none of the programmes work. It is completely dead. It appears as though there is no mains power, could it be the filter or terminal block? Problem is I can't get access to bell it out. Thanks

It was a long shot but worth mentioning. The only thing I can suggest is checking my article washing machine not working - no lights which covers all the basics after which I advise getting an engineer in sorry.
