Beko Wme7227W Washing Machine Will Not Start

Hi I have a Beko wme7227w washing machine.
When I first switch it on and put to a programme, the time stays at zero time. The door lock flashes on and then goes off. If I press the pause button the timer goes to the usual time for the wash but it doesn't start.
Help!

Could be a faulty door interlock or the door isn't activating the interlock properly but it could be other things too
