Hello all, My washer dryer has recently been giving a code of F13 and now it does spin or pump water out. I moved the appliance this morning and found this (first picture) on the floor underneath it and I think it came from here (other two pictures). I've been trying to identify it and have come up with two options, it's either this Hotpoint WDF740KUK Element Sensor but I think this fits in the back of the drum or this Hotpoint WDF740KUK Lens Temp. / Spin but there is no picture of it. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Thanks

It's so frustrating when spares don't have a picture. The first one looks like it's one for the heating element on the washer so you can discount that. The second has no pic but the description of it doesn't sound right (lens temperature / spin), this Thermistor NTC looks like it could be it (apart from the colour) and at least has a description more like I;d expect as looking at the photos it looks like a TOC | Thermistor | NTC for the washer dryer part.

To be on the safe side try filling out a parts enquiry where they will hopefully look it up using their parts manuals

Thanks for the reply,

I don't think it is the thermistor as on closer inspection it has to fit a square hole. However I will fill out a parts enquiry form.

Thanks again

p.s.

I've looked at the parts on this website and it fits in the blower manifold 1/3 of the way up from the drum end of the manifold, the hole is an oblong fit.

Also when you replace it, keep a very close eye on it as it may have another fault, which caused it to overheat and melt.

where's the rest of it? still inside the drum?

I haven't found any other debris, also there wasn't any strange sounds before it went wrong. As I can't find what it is supposed to look like I don't know what's missing !

will do ! :)

Thanks to both of you

It's probably lying on or under the heating element in the dryer heating chamber.
