  1. OK, thanks again. Even if we went for a cheaper one with a shorter guarantee we would still do a maintenance wash regularly, so maybe the better quality model with 10-yr guarantee would work out better for us.
  2. Many thanks for your help on this. Your reply seems to support my decision to go for the one with more features. I may have a look at it first just to see what it looks like, but I can't imagine it's too bulky to make much difference.
  3. It's been suggested to me that as a guarantee may not include limescale damage, then unless I'm in a softwater area I'll probably still need to replace the washing machine before the 10 years is up? Just when I thought I'd made up my mind to pay the extra and go ahead! Can you give me any advice on this?
  4. Also does anyone have any ideas as to why the W4144 is cheaper, despite appearing to be superior? (Also posted as a separate topic). Could it be that the W3740 is more in demand as the depth is a few cm shorter, so fits better in some kitchens?
  5. Does anybody know why this is so, as the W 4144 seems to be quieter, as well as having superior features. The only thing that makes me hesitate to buy it is that it is cheaper than the W 3740, suggesting that there are some drawbacks. Be grateful for any advice on this. Plenty of people seem to rate the W 3740 highly.
