Is the Bosch washing machine I DOS system any good?  

Secondly if you wanted to turn the feature off is there an option to do it?

Hi. I'm not a fan of these automatic DOS features, though I understand and assume you can still use your own detergent if preferred. This should be mentioned in the instruction manual, although obviously you may not have it yet if you haven't actually bought one. One day all washing machines may be DOS, but if they lock you into using liquid detergent I think that's a bad thing. Liquid detergents have long been associated with helping cause a build up of slime and grease inside washing machines because they don't contain bleach.
