AnnaEickmann Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 I just had a new Miele washer/dryer combo machine delivered to me today. In the first cycle that runs to get the machine started with no clothes in it, the washer is giving off a "hot" smell. It's not really a "burning" smell but it smells very hot. And in the first load I washed, it gave off this same smell. What is this and does it go away? Thanks!
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted September 28, 2006 Root Admin Posted September 28, 2006 It's clearly an unusual smell, which may fade as the machine is used. It may well be just the newness of the washing machine but to be on the safe side it might be better to ring Miele using the number on the instruction book. If you are using 40 degree washes it shouldn't smell hot. Need a repair or spare parts? Book a Repair | Spares4Appliances WARNING: Read this before attempting any diy repairs.
