What do these symbols mean on Hoover Performa 600 Washing Machine?

I inherited this hoover washing machine but don't know what the icons refer to and can't seem to get it to fill with water. It's hooked up to water hose and hose is on. I'm not sure re settings. I have searched online for the manual-no luck. See attached image.

That's an old one. You should be able to download a full instruction book from here - appliance instruction manuals just make sure you look for the proper model number (which looks like AM640S). Full model numbers on Hoover washing machines are usually behind the door.

I'd be surprised if they aren't in the instruction book although if not I'd take that as it being unnecessary to understand them.

I found it in 15 seconds using the link I posted Your model number according to your photos is AM640. You just need to select Laundry Appliances from the right menu then washing machine.

I got it now-I went back and put in the number again then selected form the list below it then the manual came up. thanks sincerely for your help! I had just about given up on that washing machine!
