  1. Are there any companies that you can recommend that remove the old machine and install the new one? I'd like to order from John Lewis but they only have a removal service (and you have to disconnect everything). I'm not really confident enough to know what I'm doing and I'd rather pay for peace of mind and knowing it has all been taken out and installed correctly! I suppose the alternative would be to pay a local plumber - what would be a reasonable charge for this service? P.S. Any update on the Siemens review - I am tempted by this as a cheaper (and lighter!) alternative to Miele because of the hydrosafe feature...
  2. My washing machine is currently upstairs (no room in kitchen downstairs). The whole house shakes when it is on the spin cycle (I've tried those anti-vibration things but they don't seem to work) and I'm always really worried it will leak into the room downstairs. I've got to buy a new washing machine so what would you recommend as the best bet in terms of quietness and least flood risk? is there anything else I chould do to reduce the shaking and risk of flooding? quietest
