Beko Washing Machine Trips Rcd

Recently The lights on the front of my Beko washing machine have not been coming on. the washine machine still worked perfectly well untill recently every time i turn the washing machine on the RCD trips. Its not the plug or the socket we have checkedd all this. Just wondered if anyone had any idea what the problem could be as my husband can fix machines but if its going to be too expensive we will buy another one. Thanks.

Could be a wire that's got rubbed bare somewhere causing connection problems with the control panel and now shorting out but other than that you need an insulation test meter to track down fusing or earth tripping faults on appliances.
