Tinderbox (UK)
I have a brand new washing machine and i want to keep it clean and running as efficiently as possible, I am going to only use Ariel Bio Powder with Actilift as it seems to get very good reviews, it`s not cheap i bought some today, a fifty wash at lidl is £9.99 for a 42 wash, at Morrisons it`s £12.49 for a fifty and at Asda it`s only £8.00 for a fifty so guess where i bought it from After how many washes should you do a service wash to clean the inside of your washing machine, most of the information i have read say every month, but should it not depend on how many washes you do a week and how hard your water is. I only do one wash a week and my water is soft, so a maintenance wash after only four washes seems like overkill. What is the average number of washes a week does a "normal" family get though to have to clean your machine monthly? Thanks John. Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted May 14, 2011 Root Admin Report Share Posted May 14, 2011 We have only very slightly hard water. We wash every day. I do a maintenance wash only every several months when I remember but we've never had any problems with grease, slime and black mold or limescale. People who do will need to do a maintenance wash much more often. As you point out it very much depends on individual circumstances.. Need a repair or spare parts?
