Eco washballs - do they work or not?

Hello John, and thanks for joining. I did reply to a similar question in the past which you might find interesting here - Do the eco wash balls work?

These things come under the too good to be true warning category. There must be something in them or they would have surely died off ages back but then on the other hand if there really was something in them - everyone should be using them by now. It's a good question...

If you think abut it, there will always be some level of cleaning just by soaking clothes in water and agitating them about. That's what we did for many hundreds of years in rivers before detergent and washing machines were invented.
