Who could to help me deciding the next question? I have only two days to replace a old washing machine. I am considering two models: Miele WKF 120 CHROMEEDITION and LG F1495 BDS. I tested them. The machines washed the same things by a powder of the same quantity and quality with similar programs and options. I cannot say that Miele WKF 120 CHROMEEDITION washes better then LG F1495BDS. Miele WKF 120 CHROMEEDITION has the best functional in compare with LG. But Miele washing machines have the problem of imbalance during intermediate spinning of two towels (The washing machine was not able to do an intermediate spinning rather often. The weight was a little more 1 кг of dry things). LG F1495BDS had not such problem. Quality rinsing Miele is not better quality rinsing LG. This result I've got with using of the max quantity of the water. The noise from the work of the washing machine Miele is below noise from LG F1495BDS. And else one moment is a price. Miele washing machines is more expensive than LG F1495BDS in 2 times for me. And don't forget about prices of Miele service! I think that the purchase of Miele is correct action provided of reliability and durability of the washing machine. There is always "but". You know that the quality of all new things is falling down recently... Washing machine WKF 120 CHROMEEDITION is the new machine in model line of Miele. Reviews after long time using are absent. The company LG has used new system "Big in" in the model F1495BDS (the large drum (12 kg of cotton) was mounted inside a standard body of the washing machine). The "Big in" is new system. Reviews after long time using are absent too. What do you think? Thank you for your answers.

You are comparing two very different washing machines. Miele is far superior but also much more expensive. If I had to choose between a Miele and LG I would have Miele every time. They are considerably better but as you point out the price of service and repairs can be expensive. It's just the same as if you bought a Mercedes car instead of a Ford car.

I suspect you are not actually in the UK? In the UK the LG brand relies on a network of independent engineers for repairs, whereas Miele have their own engineers as well as a network of carefully chosen and highly trained Miele dealers.

Also do you really need a 12 kg drum? That is massive, and most people could not remotely fill that for most of their wash cycles which means that it would be relatively uneconomic to run because larger drums usually means more water used.
