SJW
I have just moved into a new home, where the old type cold fill pipe is in situ, and due to the awkward distance, I would like to utilise the old pipe, and join to the modern fitting behind the washing machine. The fitting has a sort of water container that I assume is to help prevent leaks or something. Is there any way I can do this, what fittings would I need ? Photos aren't brilliant sorry. Thanks. Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted June 17, 2013 Root Admin Report Share Posted June 17, 2013 That looks like an aqua stop type hose, I have some useful information about them here Anout aqua stop fill hoses which includes the advice that if you extend an aquastop hose you lose some of the protection. But if you have to extend the hose there's nothing you can do about it unless you move the tap nearer to the washer or visa versa. You can join two fill hoses together with a special hose extension connector. Need a repair or spare parts?
