Wonder if you can help me with a problem on the drying cycle on my Hoover washer dryer WA110. The dryer appears to be functioning correctly in that the drum is turning and the heater and pump are working, but the clothes are coming out hot and damp. The closest way that I can describe it to you is that when you open the door after operating the dryer the effect is like a sauna with steam pouring out of the opening. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Appliance manuals are often made available by the specific manufacturer of that appliance. I have a user manual page full of links to download a user manual for any Hoover appliance - or many other brands

Hi, I've just recently acquired a Hoover Performa 1100. Can anyboby tell me how to remove the top? I've unscrewed the three back screws, as I have took the back trim off it looks like the top is just a piece of white backed chipboard, should this chipboard top just slide out? if so this ones seems very tight? Thanks in advance. Jim Curtis

My dryer is not heating. I called out an repair specialist and he told me that all it was, was an overheat trip switch. Could you please tell me where to find the trip switch under the top of the washing machine, as all it took was a couple of moments for him to do (that quick that I never seen the trip). As it has since happend again and I don't want to pay an expensive callout fee.

My Hoover washing machine seems to do everything it should, except ramp up to spin speed on spin. When it reaches the spinning part of the cycle the drum rotates slowly for a few seconds as usual, but at the point when it should get faster it stops and remains stopped for the normal duration of the spin cycle. The pump runs normally while this happens. I'm guessing the motor is ok or it couldn't turn slowly, it rotates in both directions during the wash cycle. Without a schematic of the machine/controller I'm not sure where to look for the fault, any suggestions please?

Hi, I've been having an intermittent problem with my washer (Model A2120). Every now and again it stops mid cycle and comes up with an E1 error. It happened again yesterday, so I decided to test a spin cycle to see if that worked. It never managed to make it to a full spin, only a standard slow turn and sounded like the pump was going for ages and then eventually did the E1 error. It didn't look to have any water in it, and this is probably confirmed by the fact I was able to switch the washer off and back on again and it would let me open the door straight away. It doesn't seem to be having problems filling with water or anything like that. I've tried the washer agai…

In the last few days my washer dryer has been less effective in drying. The dryer is getting up some heat but producing steaming, not dry, clothes. I'm guessing that wherever the steam escapes is blocked and my clothes are getting a nice sauna.

When the spin cycle shifts into higher speed you can hear the motor speed varying slightly and after a few seconds the spin stops with all leds flashing. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, my washing machine completed a full wash cycle with no problem, but then I loaded the machine up again and nothing this time - no water filling & no drum turning, however by turning the program selector to different positions, the normal timer ticking noise starts and the drum starts to turn (but no water filling). I have checked the water supply & the 2 filters which are ok. Is there anything else I can do to diagnose this fault? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi. On tumble dry, the drum turns but the clothes aren't drying. They come out still damp and cold. Any help would be much appreciated.

Could you help on a fault I'm encountering with my hoover computer logic 1300 washing machine? During a wash cycle the error message F2 or F8 flashes and beeps in the temperature window. The machine was bought second hand and has no manual, any advice on these faults and possible solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Fitted a new kitchen at the weekend. Moved washing machine 1 metre to left and replumbed it in. Once replumbed I put in a load of washing. At end of cycle there was no fast spin. The drum spun slowly in one direction, then the other but didn't pick up speed and then it just stopped. The program dial just moved to the end of the cycle with no fast spin. The slow spin setting doesn't work either. There appears to be a little water left in the washing machine and the door won't release. My childrens school uniforms are stuck in there and I would like to know how to solve this problem! Many thanks.

Hi, I have a 5year old Hoover WA110. According to Hoover's manual, the machine should take water to about a third of the way up the door window. If it doesn't, they say to use a "Y" piece on the cold water feed with both hoses attached. No matter which way I try to connect the water feed, the washing machine doesn't seem to allow enough time for filling (no matter what the pressure), hence it never takes sufficient water to wash properly. This has always been the case, now I would like to get it to work properly. Any idea how to extend the fill time?

The door hinge on my mother's 18 month old Hoover washer has broken. I can easily remove the door, but I can't work out how to remove the hinge from the door to replace it. I've tried undoing the four screws on the reverse of the door, but I still can't get the door apart to remove the old hinge. Is there a special way to replace the hinge? It's a die cast hinge.

After a normal wash and rinse cycle, my Hoover Performa WA110 washer dryer does not pump the water out. Water remains in the drum and door does not open. I checked all buttons, I did try again to rinse, spin, tried another wash cycle and water is not coming in (because water from previous cycle is still in, I assume).

I have an old Hoover washing machine (1983) which has given stirling service with only a few minor DIY repairs. However, it has stopped filling with water. At start of any cycle requiring water, the 'on light' comes on but the timer switch fails to automatically advance. If manually advanced past any point where water should enter, the programme continues OK (ie motor runs, drum spins). At the end of cylces F and L the timer does advance automatically. Evidently, the water fill valves are no longer getting a signal to open. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

I have a hoover performa washing machine model WA110. The problem is that the programmer stops at the same point in the wash cycle (between 4-5). If I move it on by hand the pump starts running and the cycle completes. When the programmer has stuck, the drum rotates and stops then reverses and stops, this process then continues until I intervene. Checks carried out so far: after filling, heater starts, heater checked OK. Thermostat closes and programme motor starts. Programmer rotates, turns off heater and is now stuck in this position. I have checked the level pressure switch. (N.B. there is only one click should there be two?) It appears to be waiting for an input si…

I wonder if you can help me? My new wave washer (A2142) recently started to show the E1 error code during every wash. I checked the eco ball and the pump, and the water is filling into the machine ok. When I put the washing machine to cold wash it runs ok. How do I get the door seal off to check the heating element as it is fitted at the front of the drum? When I had a Hoover engineer out about 5 years ago he told me that this type of wshing machine was developed to be maintained from the front so I will need to remove the front panel to gain access to the heating element.

I am finding that there is no hot water during any wash cycle and no hot air during the drying cycle. It appears the heating system is in someway faulty. Can you tell me the cause of this and what sort of cost I am looking at for replacement parts?

I'm having some trouble with a Hoover Six 1200 WDM120 washing machine. On the drying cycle the machine does 4 lots of turns - alternating directions between each set, and then just stops turning. The washing cycles work OK and the drum appears to be spinning fine. After stopping, it sounds as though there is still water being pumped through the machine and heated, and there appears to be no water stuck in the machine. Hitting the on/off switch twice starts it up again - but it does 4 more turns and stops again! With some patience I've actually got one set of washing dry now! Initially, the drum had only been rotating one way, and having taken the back off, I found a l…

We have a Hoover Ecologic A3950 which is about 13 years old. It's developed a fault where it stops in the cycle, twice it seems. I normally use it on the "D" cycle which is the 40 degree wash. As far as I can see from reading your site, everything functions in the sense that it fills with water (hot and cold), it pumps out and it spins. However at two points between "D" and "E" and between "E" and "F", it will stop. I'm also pretty sure that the heater is ok. too (see later for reason). If you click the programme on by a notch each time after it's stopped, it continues the program and after the second "click on" it goes right through to the end and finishes the cycle. F…
