I’ve a problem with my Indesit XWA 71451WUK washing machine after moving house. It constantly feeds water through the Wash detergent compartment into drum at full rate throughout every stage of every cycle including Spin. Drain system set-up is correct (no siphon), as is water feed pressure. No debris in water valves or filters. Both water valve solenoid coils have continuity and correct resistance, and both valves shut off water completely on operation of either Pause or Power Off buttons, or when mains power is switched off. Pressure switch seems ok as drain pump kicks in as soon as drum water level exceeds max operating level and runs until correct waterlevel is re…

Hello I have a Miele washing machine Softronic W460 that is about 16 years old. Last year I had a repair done & the chap who did it recorded I think about 8600 hours of use & mentioned the 'water path' which I think he replaced. Now I am having problems again that it isn't always taking the softener from the drawer. This seems to be on a completely random basis. We did explore the inside of the machine and cleaned all the tubes/pipes which were silted up YUK! and put it back together but it hasn't solved the problem. My question, do I get it repaired again at a cost of possibly £80 & hope it lasts another year or should I buy a new washing machi…

Have checked the filter which is clear and the drain hose which again is clear ... have run on empty and drains quickly .. I'm stuck and as a family of 6 am lost without my machine so need to get fixed asap , as dont want to use incase causes and further damage . Any ideas on what the cause could be ?

Good day, I am having a strange issue with my Electrolux washing machine. It appears the brake arm motor is remaining energized when its not supposed to. Even after the cycle is finished, and the power to the machine is removed, it takes around 5 – 10 minutes before I hear the brake arm motor release the brake arm. I have checked the connections to the brake arm motor – all OK, and at the beginning of the wash cycle it behaves properly (engaging and releasing), but if the brake arm motor has been activated for a long time (i.e. During a spin and drain cycle) when the brake arm should be engaged (for deep rinsing using the agitator) it does not, so the agitator o…

Hi, this is my first post on this site and I hope that someone will be able to help me solve a problem on a Zanussi washing machine. I have read loads of messages from others on this site and cannot find anything that is similar. My father-in-law, who owns the washing machine and has said it has been working very well up to the other day, said he loaded the machine, pressed the on/off button, the 'End' LED immediately started flashing green continuously and nothing happened when he pressed the start button. I have managed, by pressing different buttons (?), to get the LEDs (green) on the control panel to light up individually and to cycle round lighting up one after the …

Hello, This machine performs all the washing programs with boiling water, even when washed with cold water. Only in the rinsing program do you use cold water. I checked the NTC probe which is working properly. I have inspected the card redoing welds and cleaning some contacts, but the defect remains. The mechanical switch of the program change is a little slow. I thank anyone who can help me, otherwise the wiring diagram of the board could help me too. Hello.

Hi there, We have an Indesit Intex washing machine, loaded the machine as normal, closed the door and pressed start but nothing happened, the door was still locked after 10 mins of waiting then all but 2 if the lights started flashing and the machine sounded like it was trying to fill or drain. The only way to open the door is to unplug the machine and wait for the door to unlock, if left closed and then plugged back in the door will then lock itself without trying to start the program. I have had a look through previous fixes but can't find the answer to this, any ideas please? Thannks

Hi, I have a Beko washing machine model WME7247W that won't start. The digital screen lights up, but nothing changes when pressing any buttons. The start light is flashing. Followed some troubleshooting instructions and it gives error code E11 that seems to have to do with the motor. Do you think that I can repair it with less than £70? Otherwise it's not worth it. Thanks

My Kenmore 110 is not shifting from agitating to drain and I've been told that this may be cause by a "wig wag" that may be needing replaced. Except that I haven't been able to locate this part on my model. Was wondering if somebody could either help me find it or let me know what else could be causing this problem.

Our WT 2670 is out of warranty and there is a burning smell when you run a drying cycle, the clothes are hot but wet. When this happened before it was a blocked duct over the top of the machine. It has been replaced twice by Miele in the past under their warranty. Is this a job I could under take and can you get the parts required? Looking for a cheapish solution as the machine is 12 years old and the bearings are getting noisy. If not what make of replacement machine should we be looking at? Samsung are offering a 5 year free guarantee, are they any good?

ISE washing machine ring of rubber fell out My ise machine (ISEW1607W) is 9 years old and has been magnificent all that time. However today, I opened the door of the front loader and a long ring of rubber fell out around the door. It is not the door seal which is still in place and is any much larger than the circumference of the door. It seems to be (forgive me if I don't know the jargon) something that is a buffer between the drum and the front of the machine but it is not clear which way round to try and put it back on or what would hold it in place andhow to get it back into place anyhow.

Help! My washing machine switches to "end" seconds after selecting any cycle. The pump runs (no water is now left in the machine) and then that's it..... nothing. I've changed the brushes, checked all pipes for blockages, checked the heater coil. I'm thinking the mother board is knackered is there anything else I can try please

I hav miele w3164. During filling it start to leak thru detergent drawer door outside. The hose that takes the water from the drawer to the drum is not blocked with old detergent/softner residue, but the water goes too slowly, so it finds the next obvious escape, which is out the front! Pressure at inlet less than 6 atm. What can be problem?

Hi All Ive looked at the troubleshooting page. Ive recently bought a Bosch Washer Machine WAT28371GB. At first the washer machine would be fine however recently it now doesn’t start when loaded and displays a weight for the corresponding programme. The load in the machine is less than weight for the programme. This doesn’t feel right does anyone know how I would stop this from happening. thanks in advance

Hi, My Zanussi washing machine will not begin any new washing cycles, and the door locks as soon as it is closed with the machine turned on (not necessarily running a cycle). Is there a way to 'reset' the computer, or force it to finish the cycle that it might be stuck in? Thanks, Dan

A lot of people seem concerned that their washing machine doesn't look like it has enough water in the drum during wash. Many people will be used to hold the washing machines where you could always see water inside the drum, especially on the rinses. I've just written an article on this very subject looking at how much water a washing machine should take in and whether or not you should see water inside the drum when it's washing - Is my washing machine taking in enough water?

I've just finished a new washing machine help article on Whitegoodshelp. I recently had to repair my son's washing machine. It was making a strange tapping, rattling sound when the drum revolved. It was much louder on the spin cycle. At first I was puzzled and was unsure what the noise could be. When I pulled out the washing machine and took off the back panel I could see that the drum pulley was loose. It was still securely fastened with the pulley bolt, but the centre of the pulley had badly worn. Full story with videos and sound can be found here rattling tapping and grinding noise on spin

Hi I was hoping for some guidance on sorting out my hotpoint WML730 washing machine. The pump had started leaking on this to the point that we only realised when it packed up. Pump was replaced with a new one but it didn't work. Testing the pump in isolation showed it was working fine when 240v was applied to it. I put a meter across the wiring from the PCB to the pump and this showed that only a voltage of around 130-135v was coming to the pump. Checking the PCB circuit board showed that one of the transistors in it had "blown up" - it is the one marked as Q011 on the board and marked as Z0107NA. The contents of the rest of the PCB looks intact. No dry j…
