We have only recently purchased the above machine and since there were only two of us, we decided to go for the most basic and cheapest AEG model. When we did our second wash (on energy saving cycle) and I happened to be watching the washing part, and was very surprised to see how little water it uses (no sign of water except that the clothes looked wet?). Is this common? Or have I got a defective machine? Or could it be I have not turned on the water fully on?? Even when it went to the rinse cycle, again I saw very little water in the drum? Whereas I recalled using the public laundrette washing machine no matter how much clothing I stuff it into the washing machine, one …

Hello everyone, I am wonder if any experiences similar I have Indesit WIA121 UK washing machine, and it has started a bizarre washing problem. When I turn it on and select one of the cycles it start mid cycle. I am not sure why, because if you let it complete this cycle, switch it off and on again, it again starts mid cycle again, this can repeat for several washes before it decides that it will start at the beginning of the cycle. I have tried all the different cycles on offer and it continue to do this, but what is more annoying is its not every time I use the washing machine. Any ideas?

I have a video to demonstrate. Easier than trying to describe the problem, but in my very limited knowledge of washing machines, to me it sounds like a relay clicking? I can't tell! It goes in to the main cycle and washes my clothes, but the clicking means it takes long to pull water in to the machine! Anyone familiar with his? I'm trying to work out if getting a new one vs getting this fixed.

Hi All, I've spent this morning trying to change a worn out door seal on our Indesit WD12S washer dryer. I've managed to remove the door, soap dispenser, take the top off, get the old seal off and put a new one in (somehow). But I'm struggling now to put the inside clip on the seal. The real problem is I cannot for the life of me figure how to take out the front fascia on this washing machine. There appear to be no screws at the top (below the control panel) or bottom to do this. Looking inside the machine, it almost appears as if the front has been welded/stuck in. I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me if there was a way to remove the front fascia at all? I have a …

Hi, my washing machine has become dead. The digital display comes on fine, but no functions work, just beeps. After a while it shows 'E 21' which I believe is an error code. After much googling I have found no answers. Hoping somebody here may have some solutions. Cheers

Had this for a couple of months this time. What is different to the usual 'no spin' problem, is that it always starts to spin, you hear a second or two of the acceleration, and then it stops! Very annoying. The filter seems clear. Have blown through the output hose, and it seems clear, except the bubble of a little excess water at the bottom, I suppose. It is TRICITY BENDIX WASHER 1000. Any ideas? Is it the kind of thing to repair relatively cheaply? Or is it a 'may-as-well-get-a-new-one' job? Thanks for any advice.

Hi, I've got a Hoover DYN 9164DPG and today mid cycle it came up with an E03 message. Google says this is a drain problem? I opened the drain filter line and a fair bit of water came out but both the drain line and filter seem to be clear and the pump is turning ok. Even now with the machine fully drained it still won't go on to a spin cycle and the pump keeps running. I took the hose off the pressure switch and that seems clear too. Could the switch itself be broken? Many thanks, Rich.

I have a Bosch Exxcel WVD2452s washer/dryer which is a few years old. When i select the dryin program it appears to attempt to dry however no heat is produced. It appears to stop the drying cycle after about 15/16 mins. I have been told that there is a thermostar reset trip switch which is located behind the cover, however after removing the top and back bulge i cannot appear to find anything to 'reset' Does this sound like a thermostat or element problem? Any ideas?

Hello, I found this forum and am hoping that someone can help advise me what is wrong with, and how to fix a 12 year old hotpoint aquarius 1000.Yesterday we did 2 washes and noticed that the machine was very noisy when spinning which we put down to an unbalanced load, but today the same noise was there and when the load was taken out we noticed what appear to be small bits of black plastic which look as if they have broken off something. I assume they were part of some piece that is involved with the drum spinning, some sort of bearing. I would be most grateful if someone more knowledgeable could help me fix it. Thankyou, Mark Allen. South Wales.

My friend's 18 year old hoover played up the other day - it wouldn't drain or spin. Drain Hose wasn't blocked, filter looked fine and the upstand to the drain wasn't blocked either. It seemed that when the programme timer went to "Spin" it would completely cut out, and let you open the door with a drum full of water! Engineer diagnosed it as the programme dial, and as the machine was so old repair wasn't possible. Eventually (as she's not got much money) she settled on a budget Servis from the local Co-Op store. Plumbed it in, switched it on. Did full wash programme. Then wouldn't drain or spin. A friend of mine thinks she's picked up the lemon in the batch. Any more…

Hi there The door handle on my LG F1403 broke last night, leaving me with a full load of washing now stuck in the machine! The plastic handle must have perished in some way because the parts of the handle that actually open the door split. I'm not sure if there is a piece of door handle stuck in the mechanism or not, I've tried to get what's there out with my hands but it's quite sharp so kept making my fingers bleed. I can get the part easily enough for £7 or something-great! But what I need to know is how do I fit it once the part has arrived? It says 'Easy' to fit on the parts website but will I need to be able to get the door open in the first place to be able to f…

I'm new to the forum so let me start by saying 'hi'! Last week I purchased a 2nd-hand Bosch WFF 1201 washing machine. This was quite a relief as for the past six months I've been hand-washing in my bathtub. The machine itself was actually repaired by an engineer and sold-on to me for £50. Upon installation/connection to the pipes under my sink, the engineer informed me that my hot-water pressure is very low. In fact he's right; the water from the hot tap only runs at about 1/3 the pressure of the cold tap. He then blurted-out something like 'don't wash at higher temperatures than 40-60'. I wasn't listening properly at the time and I don't really know what he was trying…

Hi, I have a Bosch Classix 1400 washing machine WFO2867Gb/01 that does not heat the water. There are no error codes and the wash goes through in normal time. This problem only occurred after I changed the bearings on the machine. Therefore I suspect it is something I did not connect correctly or caused some damage while working on the drum. I have checked the element and the NTC and both are working as expected, I have proved continuity of the NTC wiring back to the PCB and also the element wiring back to the PCB and pressure switch. The pressure switch appears to be working OK - 2 different connections are made depending on the pressure applied. What else is involved i…

My Hoover Washer/Dryer VH W654 D appears to be working as advertised; however, at the end of each washing cycle, I have the error code E 07. I read that this error code is indicative of a motor/drum/tacho fault. The drum appears to turn normally. Is there anything that I can do to resolve this issue, or is it a job for a mechanic? Thanks in advance, Roxy

HI, Have a Hotpoint WMF740, machine washes fine but when it gets to the spin cycle the machine seems to struggle getting it into spin mode, it tries several times then gives up and gives error code F-02. This only happens intermittently. When you switch the machine off and do the manual spin cycle it works (sometimes). I have had the machine open and checked whether anything is caught in the drum but it rotates ok. I have also removed the belt from the motor and the motor spins freely. I rang hotpoint who said it could only be fixed by a hotpoint engineer. The said it is something to do with the board at which I stated if I ordered it i could fit it. Apparently h…

I have a Meile Prestige Plus, it's nearly 2 years old, but this problem has occurred since it was new. On a cotton cycle, all temperatures, there are excess bubbles. Sometimes the excess light comes on but sometimes the lather is just coming out of the detergent drawer! The amount used is carefully measured and amounts strictly adhere to the manufacturers recommendations. The drum is not full and I really can't see what I am doing wrong. I would be grateful for any advice, I contacted the manufacturers when it was new but they were not able to she'd any light on it. Thank you

I have an Indesit IWC 6165, the machine won't start on any wash cycle. When you power it on all the lights light up then the start light flashes slowly. This continues until you press the start button then the wash cycle chosen light comes on and after about 5 seconds the door locked light starts flashing. The door is not locked and can be opened even though the red light is flashing. Any ideas? I have powered it down for about 15 minutes and retried it.

Hi. i have SIEMENS I-DOS washing machine WM16S890.(8KG).(1 year+) suddenly the fabric softener doesn't go into the machine for the final spin,it just stays in the drawer. The set up of the i-dos 2(softener)is set as it should be:the dosage set on normal strength, and the basis dosage on 36ml(both set on manufacturer default)),and the i-dos 2 blue led is light.i noticed that when the moment of the softener to get into the machine come,it is shown on the screen and i see a flow of water gets out from up on the right(inside above the dispenser). So it seems that the water is get out from the right place but the softener is not . The softener is pumped by the softener pump…

Hello, I bought a Ariston A1436 washing machine 1.5 years ago. After I moved house, there's no heat in the wash anymore. I don't know what happened to the machine. We didn't drop it while moving it. We were very careful. My husband tried to open up the machine and check the temperature and spin dials. They seem ok. Another problem is the machine starts leaking even though my husband tried to tighten up the pipe at the back of the machine. The washing machine isn't that old but it seems have a lot of problem after moving. We did put bults on the machine before we moved. I'm still under the free 5 year parts guarantee. I know it'll be more expensive to ask Arist…

I have a LG Direct Drive washing machine and have been seeing sludge type marks on clothing after washing on normal temperature washes. I have cleaned the machine on 95 degree washes with bleach but problem persists. Is this a machine fault of a drainage type fault?

I have a hotpoint ultima wt741 , about 4yrs old , washing machine does not show that the door is closed , the red closed light does not now come on, and machine will not start. l have removed top of machine and removed and inspected the lock switch/sensor and unplugged connector , all looks ok. I have refitted the door lock but the machine still cannot 'see that the door is in the closed position' and will not start. It first started playing up when you tried to start a wash it would flash up 'DOOR' but if you opened and re-closed the door the door light would come on and the wash would instantly start....but now seems to have failed all together? Any Ideas?

Hi all. We recently bought a new Hoover DYN 8164 washer after 13 years of faultless service from another Hoover. We're pleased with this washer, but sometimes it has a serious balance problem and I'm convinced it's a design/software fault. It doesn't happen every time, but occasionally the washer can literally leave the ground and hit the worktop above it.....at which point obviously we turn it off (usually you can tell by listening and catch it beforehand). The reason I think it's a design fault is because during the pre-spin cycles, when the washer is checking for balance before revving up, it never stops rotating to allow the clothes to drop and redistribute. It doe…

Hi Andy, I have the following issue with a Beko WMI71641. I will give a detailed description of the fault and hopefully you could point me to the fault. I am at a loss. The machine is 2 years old and was working fine until a few weeks ago. The machine trips the electrics at 3 points in any washing programme. I will give the description of the quick wash programme as that is the one we use most ofthe time. The machine has a time to run of 39 minutes in total and works wonderfully for about 19 minutes, then with 20 minutes to go, the machine starts to drain and the electrics trip. After resetting the electrics a few times the machine continues until 16 minutes remain and…

Hi our bosch maxx 5 has developed an odd clicking/knocking noise and a faint burning smell almost like a cars clutch. It started yesterday at nearly the end of the last cycle with a light load inside it (6 dish towels) . I stopped the machine right away and called out a technician who after popping it up on its end and looking inside declared the motor was "knackered" however this was without even switching it on ( He didnt seem keen even to come out when i said it was a bosch) . After he left i switched it on and popped it on spin which it did no problems to full speed and no nocking/clicking sound. I googled the symptoms and it came back with everything from the suspens…
