Hi there, I rent a place with a washing machine which is a Hoover HW 120M. The machine has two hoses blue and red which are screwd into a Y connector and then in to a single cold water tap on the wall. We have a combi boiler that heats our water. The problem is that our clothes are not coming out clean, socks still smell a bit, underarms still smell of deodrant and often the load smells like wee (that old water smell). We have tried: Removing clothes as soon as the cycle is complete. Half filling the drum Full filling of the drum Washing at higher temp Using softener Using less detergent (now using 2 or 1 Bio Ariel tablets in the drawer). Using more detergent …

The Hotpoint manual provides guidance and a diagram for removing the detergent dispenser tray, which says to lift up and pull forward.. I've not seen one of this type before, instead of the usual tray that pulls forward, it has a swinging grey front door opening to 90degrees revealing the white plastic soap and conditioner tray. As the external parts are all grey, it is easy to see which bit of the white innards should be lifted and pulled forward as instructed, but no amount of tugging and wiggling has got it to move. Am I missing something here? I can't see any obvious clip or spring device. Anyone know how to get this tray out?

Hi guys, I have an Indesit WIDXL126 displaying an error F13 (LEDs 1. 2 and 4 plus lock). Looking on t'interweb, I can see that is; Dryer fan does not work or fan jammed, Check dryer NTC (temperature sensor), Check dryer fan motor, Check wiring, Check electronic controller. I initially read the error code wrong and thought it was F07 - Heater Relay Stuck. So to try and fix that I did the following; I did the usual thing of tapping the relays on the PCB. This didn't work so I sourced a replacement PCB. Swapping that out didn't fix the problem either. I have checked all cables and connections, all seem OK to me. I double-checked all connections, all seem ok. I stripped an…

My Bosch WVG30461GB has twice in the last month stopped drying clothes, both times I've removed the top cover from the machine and pressed the small switch between the two green connectors in the photo which has reset the machine and solved the problem. I know how to fix it but don't know why the switch (presumably some sort of overheat safety device?) is tripping in the first place, can anyone help?

Hey I have a Beko washing machine: wm 6123W. Firstly, the drain pipe of the washing machine got torn; i wasted days to find a drain pipe suitablle for this machine. After replacing it, buying the remaining hoses etc...and turning on the machine, water leaked from the bottom. It is not from the pipe i did replace , nor from the inlet hose. It seems it is coming down from the hose coming out of the pump which from i recall should be connected nowhere. I am attaching images of this hose; if someone can help me to fix this problem. i check the in -oses to the pumps, they seems all fine. for some reason, water is coming out of the hose showing in the images....

Hi, this is my first post, I hope it's ok to dive right in and ask for help!? I have an LG F1443KD washing machine with what seems to be bad suspension, the drum sits back and at the front, with the door open I can get my hand between the drum and seal. It's not leaking, just won't spin, it just goes out of balance and switches off. I stripped it in the hope I would find a broken spring but all looks well, so am a little perplexed! I wonder if the back spring could be weak? Any ideas would be greatfully recieved :-) Peter

Hi All, When I wash my clothes in my washing maching, there are sometimes some red marks (looks a bit like dried blood) but more likely to be rust I guess, left on some of the lighter clothing. These marks are not easy to remove - and I seem to be writing off a lot of light shirts and t-shirts. Has anyone seen this problem before, and if so what is the best way of curing it. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Kind regards, Akkers

I ve got an error c9 on my aeg machine. The repairer came, here is what you can try to reset the electronic of the washing machine: press at the same time the two first buttons ( pre washing and soaking) And turn the button one time to the left (delicate spin drying). Wait few seconds, everything should be reset now. Good luck!

Hi, So I decided to finally replace my seven-year-old Bosch washer-dryer - the sound of failing bearings became too much to tolerate. I couldn't afford to replace it with another Bosch machine, so I decided to settle for a new 7kg K714WM16 washing machine from Kenwood. It's been exactly one week since I've had the machine installed and everything was going well until today. I loaded my washing and selected the "Cottons" programme and then selected the "Speed Wash" setting to cut the wash time down from 2 hours 45 minutes to 2 hours. I then selected the temperature (60 degrees) and final spin speed (1000rpm), and I pressed "Start". Unfortunately, after two hours the m…

Hi, Looking for some help diagnosing the issue with my washing machine! I have a Beko WMB 81455 LW - 15 months old (just out of warranty ) which stopper working at the weekend. I can't remember any particular event that occurred that caused it to stop working. Now when I try to turn it on and put it on any washing cycle, the machine rinses the detergent chamber as usual but then never starts, it continues to fill/rinse the detergent chamber, stop and repeat. Even if putting the machine on a spin and drain cycle only, nothing happens. I therefore believe the issue is likely a motor fault..? I have tried putting the system into test mode as described here (http://www.ho…

The machine goes through a wash cycle but will not spin. I have tried selecting the spin only function with no clothes loaded but it still does not spin. I checked the motor brushes and although worn they seemed ok. I renewed them anyway. I have removed the rubber tube from the underside of the pressure switch, but no "click" was heard. Tried spin cycle with the rubber tube removed but no difference. Any more suggestions?

Hi there I just got a brand new Beko WMB81241LW Washing machine from Currys, a pretty good washing machine for the price seems well made (except for the soap drawer feels a little cheap and nasty when pulling out) and has lots of features. The only gripe I have noticed so far is that an awful lot of water seems to collect at the bottom of the grey door rubber gasket after every wash and the instructions tell you to wipe the door gasket after every wash. However in spinning I think i see that the water splashes up from the bootom of the door gasket and all around the door when spinning and doesnt drain away. Are there any tips/modifications anyone can think of how to get …

My washing machine is just over 30 months old and developed fault 3e. Samsung refuse to honour the warranty, saying I had not registered the extended 5 years, which I have done. The machine sticks and the drum shudders; If put on pause it will wash after 2-3 hours of consistently pausing it. Does anyone know what this fault is? Could it be the motor? Thanks

The Saga goes.... My wife reports that machine will not spin... Investigation starts Filter thing at bottom emptied (nothing there) try different cycles... all will fill then get to the bit where the drum should turn and it stops. I try to manually move drum but it will not budge. Case is now off. Belt removed, motor moves freely Drum will is seized up No sign of an obstruction other than a ball shape in one of the lower hoses attached to bottom quarter of drum. difficult to access the circlip to inspect and i suspect it is a float of some sort. Has it died?, or is there still hope that it is a simple fix.

My elderly mother has a new washing machine and has used it twice. Although she hasn't used any softener, at the end of the cycle the softener part of the detergent drawer is full of water. Why does that happen?

On all the programs except the 15 min quick wash or rinse/spin the Bosch Exxcel 8 washing machine gets stuck at the end of the wash cycle, the drum just slowly rotates in one direction and then the next continuously. Softener remains in the tray unused and the only way to complete the wash is to switch to one of the other mentioned cycles. Does someone know what might be wrong? edit: I've checked the pump filter and apart from a few collar stiffeners which i've cleared, there was no blockage.

hi all - im new here so be gentle with me -- what i have is a bush A126Q washine machine that has been transported without the bolts in and im not even sure it was working before removal but now its not working the machine powers up and sounds like its gonna start but no water enters the drum - I put a meter across the terminals of the inlet valves and as soon as you turn the program dial to any position all four terminals read 240 volts but when dials is in off position there is no power to inlet valves - I thought only one or two should read 240 v so is this normal ? or should I be looking elsewhere for the fault ---- any help appreciated cheers

This is a continuation of this thread (that topic is now locked) http://www.washerhel.../300-limescale/ Having had my new Miele from about Feb 2007, it got blocked by limescale March 2011 (4 years) So despite using very generous doses of Persil and subsequently Persil concentrated powder (and a hot wash every month as advised in the Miele Manual). It still built up horrendous levels of limescale on predominately 30 degree low temp washes. A Miele engineer had to come out and remove the offending limescale to restore the water flow. He advised using Citric acid every 6 weeks on an empty hot wash. Have used citric acid and it really does remove the limescale fr…

Hello, I've been trying to find out what a 'EO8' code means on a Hoover Washing Machine (Model: DYN8144 DIX). I've contacted Hoover directly and they won't tell me other than it's 'a motor problem' and want to charge me a fortune to call out an engineer and trying to sell me a new washing machine. Is the EO8 code specific to a certain problem in the motor or is it a general code to say the motor has a problem? Many ThanksSte.

Can anyone advise what may be wrong with my 7 yr old Miele prestige plus W524. It is working through the cycle but is not properly emptying the water out on spin. It knows there is water there as when I drain it out manually and the set it to drain spin it the spins at full speed and the clothes come out drier. I don't think it is rinsing and draining properly either as there are still suds when it spins. We have checked the filter and the propeller is spinning and I can hear water going into the pipes under the sink. We have checked the hoses and can't find anything wrong. I can't decide whether go call the engineer or replace the miele with a new cheaper machine. Any ad…

I'm in Australia with an Electrolux front loader - it's a 7kg 'Eco Valve', model EWF1087. I don't know if they're sold in England, hopefully they are or the same thing with a different name, perhaps. The trouble is the soap is not being efficiently taken out of the soap drawer. It takes some and merely wets the rest. After the wash there's a claggy lump of hardened soap powder in the drawer. I noticed today, for the first time, that fabric conditioner is not being taken in, either. Any help would be much appreciated. Electrolux are majorly unhelpful. The 'regret' they 'can't help'. Just how stupid do they think we are, I wonder.

I have a Bosch Exxcel WVD24520GB which leaves the clothes Hot and Steamy wet at the end of the drying cycle. They are actually wetter than after the spin cycle. From what I've read the problem could either be the cold water inlet valve or a blocked condenser. I've checked the three solenoids with a dvm and get 5.3k for the condenser solenoid and 3.7k for the other two is this correct? If these are ok that leaves a possibly blocked condenser. How do you remove and clean the condenser. When going through the drying phase some water is being pumped out and down the drain hose. When the drying phase is complete if you remove the plug at the bottom right water is still ther…
