So I’ve bought a LG AI DD V3 F4V309WSE 9 kg 1400 Spin Washing Machine from curry’s a couple of weeks ago the first time I used it, it rattled like hell! Yes I took the bolts out and look levelled before use. No I have to have it on a slow 800/1000 spin so it doesn’t rattle or make a racket! I’ve spoken to LG who are no help. I’m just wondering if the drum is faulty? Or are the LG washing machines all like this? I had one years ago and it was ultra quiet! please help! IMG_9098.MOV

Hi The filter cap on our machine is stuck. Last time this happened it was blocked but could be removed. From looking online and at the articles it seems likely something is stuck in there but there are no front access screws easily accessible to remove the filter so we can't disconnect it to check. They appear to behind the entire front panel of the washing machine which is proving tricky to remove. Please see photo of filter access point. We have turned it on its back to try and access it underneath but can't see how to detach it as screws are clearly holding it in place. Any experience with how to do this with this type of machine? thank you for any he…

Hi There, At a bit of a loss - we bought a new BEKO WTL94151B about 3-4 weeks ago as of last night it started making a weird clicking noise , like the door lock is constantly trying to lock. I shut the door thinking that was the issue and it went off, clicking stopped. today the machine powered up for a second then dies. I used the manual release to unlock the door. When we put the power back on then it starts up, then turns off then on again, doing this constantly - at the same time the door lock is constantly clicking. I guess its a faulty machine - but no idea if its a software fix or its a new machine? any advice would be great …

Hi My samsung wa65f5surw/sa top loader has stopped spinning. No error codes, the wash cycle goes as normal but when complete the closes are sopping wet? I have c;leaned the internal filer, was pretty clogged up but still not spinning when i tried after cleaning. When a cycle has finished i disconnected the drain hose from the base of the machine and water flowed out, not loads so the machine is managing to drain some of the water, same also when removing the rear filter. Any suggestions what else i can try -please? Thanks Nick

Hey all, Our washing machine has been making this cracking/scraping weird noise while on cycle as in the video. I've tried: - removing plastic bits inside the drum and checked for metal bra wires/anything else - nothing there - removed cover at back and tried spinning it many times as fast as possible - shaking it from all directions Checked pretty much everything I could find in advice online and can't replicate the sound at all when it's off. Any ideas? Thanks Andris VID_20210410_204524.mp4

Hello! I've decided to replace the noisey bearings on my Miele Washing machine. I reckon it must be about 25 years old so the drum was seriously stuck. However I have managed to pull the spider off and finally the remaining large bearing which left a rusty mess. See photo. My question is is this mess the remains of a washer or something? So how many components are there in the shaft system and what order are they in? There seems to be a big seal on the back of the tub, then the smaller bearing seal and then this washer perhaps. Thanks in advance and for taking the time to read this!

My washing machine's waste pipe doesn't seem to be long enough. It sort of droops downwards when attached to the sink and the sink water returns back into the washing machine now and then. Is there any way to fix this? Would a extension pipe fix the issue? Also, is it normal for this to happen when the pipe is placed downwards rather than upwards? Thanks!

the machine is around 20years old. we brought it with us when we moved to nz. water is entering fine, and it is draining fine. i think it is when the drum wants to turn. so the blinking is intermittent. just at the times when the drum should be turning. is this an easy repair? and is it worth it considering the age of the machine? thanks

Hi, I have a WW80J5555FW/EU, 2018-ish, that started having 'power loss' UC errors during washes. Then it wouldn't start any cycles - dC 'door' error every time. Weirdly I could get the drain pump to run by unplugging the water level sensor (at top of machine), but otherwise no activity. So I replaced the door interlock (£10 eBay) and the control board PCB (£55 eBay) - but no change... dC... dC... dC... On the eve of getting it taken away and replaced with a Bosch I decided to check the drain pump was functional and found its power connectors were loose, really wobbly, bearing in mind it's a 240V circuit. So I reseated those a few times and it instantly fixed …

Hi, My hotpoint wmfug942p keeps tripping the RCD when it does a wash that heats the water. It works fine on a cold rinse. This leads me to believe that the fault is with the element. However when I measure the resistance of the element it reads 30 ohms, which would indicate that the element is not the problem. Any ideas on where to go from here? Thanks, Dave

Hi My Beko WDR8540121W power board has burned out. I was goint to order a replacement board: https://www.bekospares.co.uk/washing-machine/wdr8540121w-7161545600/power-card/product.pl?pid=5330457&path=110919&model_ref=14082846 But I thought I'd ask first about it here first. Would the board work straight out the box if I replaced it? Or would it need to be reprogramed? Beko are no help I tried calling them and emailing them and they just fobed me off, after almost burning my house down!

Hi, I have recently bought a Hoover H-Wash 300 lite washing machine, I did all the required installation instructions, removed the 4 bolts holding the drum, levelled the feet but the machine still hops about violently when it is in spin mode, it is moving across the floor, any suggestions on how to stop this? Pat

Hello, I think I may have an issue with my Beko washing machine and I hope maybe I could get an advice on what to do. I will do my best on trying to explain what has been happening with it. First of all, the machine is quite new. I have it for one and a half years now. A couple of months ago, while running the usual wash and dry cycle I always do, the program suddenly stopped and it started making "beeping" sounds continuously. I tried turning it off, tried some sort of factory reset (as it was written in the manual) but nothing worked. I had to pull the plug out in order to make it stop. After about 15 minutes the machine would not even start up at all. The next day…

Hi, I am hoping you can help me. Replaced the door lock as the machine would not start. But after replacing, it still would not start. I am almost certain its not the door, as if I connect the switch up, and push the switch as if the door was engaged it still doesn't start. I can measure power on the connector. Also if I short out pins 2 & 3 on the connector the machine works. I can also measure the coil on pins 1 & 3 with my ohm meter. At a bit of a loss as to what to check for now. Machine is working with the pins 2 & 3 shorted. But not ideal as the door can be opened with it washing! The picture shows both switches, the one …

Hello, Our Hotpoint 95620 is on the blink. She's an old girl (getting near 40 years) and so no fault codes! I know her pretty well but cannot figure this out. The motor turns but does not sound smooth (stutter?) and does not spin. It does this on all settings. Pretty sure it's not the motor as I swopped it for another and still have the same problem. Now where's that old twin tub..........................? Cheers

I have bought a washing machine drain pump from ebay and the prongs on it don't accurately match the little plug for them. However the prongs do have little holes in them. Is it safe to cut the two red wires from their plug and push them through the prongs of the new pump, twist them round, a bit like you do with speaker wire. I don't want to set the whole machine live and kill myself! This pic shows the new pump with the prongs. Thanks

I have two Zanussi washing machines, one a 2006 model ZWF1221G, the other, a 2013 model ZWG6141P. Both wiill operate from either a CWST in the attic or mains. The 2006 model operates exactly as expected, a fill volume (empty) of ~ 16 Litres with a fill time of 259 secs on CWST fill and 114 secs on mains filling. However the 2013 model gives exactly the same fill time of ~ 125 secs on both CWST fill and mains fill with obviously a big difference in fill levels, I can't just now access the standpipe hose but on CWST fill the level is well below the d…

Hi all, My Miele washing machine isn't draining properly. The 'check drain' LED has been flashing and the cycle has not been able to complete. I have checked the under sink trap (clear) and also checked that the machine is able to drain from the drain filter access panel (it was). There were a couple of hair pins and a 5p coin in the drain filter area, which I've removed. The impeller IS spinning, but it sounds a bit....crackly?! What do you think?? Many, many thanks

I have looked at the FAQ and cant really find an answer to the issues I am having. I have a leaking machine and the engineer from Whirlpool is coming out for its 3rd "fix" on Tuesday. It only happens on the water fill about 40ish minutes into the wash, which my layman thoughts assume its coming from a different hose? it comes form the left hand side of the door where the detergent drawer is. The first engineer just checked the door seal, said it was ok and it must have been a freak happening- a pair of socks must of got balled or I had too much washing in it which "forced the door" he then proceed to sell me a years supply of cleaner and offered to replace the sea…

Hi all, I have a whirlpool WWDC9440 which keeps giving me an F06 fault. I have only recently changed the bushes and when I had it out the last time they still have plenty of meat on them. When it did it the last time I tested the continuity on the motor and it seemed good. The belt is fine. I am running out of things to check! Could it be anything else apart from the motor is knackered. It is six years old. Thanks

Hi all, I have joined the forum to try and see if my washing machine is faulty , or if what i experience is normal ! (This had turned out to be along post o sorry for this bu i have to ask ) This is a hotpoint nswa843cwwuk (if im correct) washing machine. Its is now 3 month old, bought from AO. after about a month of usage, one day when we opened the door, we could smell ACRID RUBBER SMELL. we called out the engineer, who came out and he said that a cloth must have got cought between the drum and the rubber seal and that this was 'NORMAL' !! I questioned it but i din't want to be too rude. I asked, what if it happens again and …

Hi, have been through the forum / FAQ and can't find much that matches this issue. hope you can help. Have a very frustrating fault with my washer - it's c. 7 years old, which seems young to me. Bearings recently failed and I replaced these with (I thought) no issues. Machine ran OK for a week or so, and then had door fail to lock which resulted in a cycle stopping half way full of water. Replaced the door lock. It then worked fine for another week or so, before failing in the same way - it only seems to fail on larger load (eg sheets or nappies) which suggests its an overload issue? Happens during the wash part of the cycle, but has no issues with a fast spin…
