- This forum is for anything to do with Hotpoint washing machines - BUT NOT repairs
- All repair questions need to be in the following forum - UK Washing Machine Repair Questions
- Most washing machine faults are not specific to a brand
- Most faults and fixes are the same for all washing machines
- So splitting faults up into brand categories is pointless

Our Local Electrical dept store (Bennetts Ipswich) is currently offering a Hotpoint WT960P for £298 inc a 5year parts warranty. We cant stretch to a Miele despite our best intentions. We have never owned a hotpoint and dont really know if they are any good, only that its an established brand. Its a triple A efficient washer with 7kg capacity. any thoughts on this machine would be greatly appreciated.

I was just looking for some opinions on the new Hotpoint Aqualtis range. I'm needing to get a new washing machine and really like the look of these and the fact that they are advertised as "super quiet". The problem is that, as they are new, there doesn't appear to be any reviews on the web, including Which?. So am just trying to decide wether to take the gamble on this or not.

Hello, I've got a Hotpoint WMBF742G Aquarius washing machine which I'm very happy with. My only problem at the moment is that my back has been getting worse over the last few months and carrying out the washing chores is becoming quite the ordeal. I've heard that you can get washing machine stands that raise up the hight of the washer allowing you to lod/unload it without having to bend so far down. This would be perfect for me and my back. I have a separate utility room so its not slotted under cupboards. Raising it would therefore not be a problem. Any suggestions on where I might be able to find one that's suitable for this model? As cheap as possible but sturdy would …

Hotpoint wf860 super silent 1600 spin. At the moment its not silent while on spin. Not a banging noise, more a persistant sound in tune with the spinning drum. Also fond water on floor after wash ends. Directly below the soap draw. I,ve checked the soap draw before washing and its fitted in ok. This machine is only 2 years old. The first problem i got was fan belt coming off??. I tried to re-fit, with no luck so called a guy out, charged me £30 and said it,ll be fine now, but said it could be something else that started the belt to come loose. Are hotpoint good makes or stare clear of them?.

Our brand new Hotpoint WMEF742 washing machine had a fault on program 10 (FastWash 60min). The engineer admitted that this was a known fault that required the controller to be reprogrammed. This was a simple enough job as it only required the engineer to plug his laptop into the comms port at the back of the machine. Evidently some machines have this faulty program and some don't. The fault in question prevents the wash completing with a spin and so leaves the clothes soaking wet. The fault occurs at the very start of the first rinse phase. With around 26 minutes left on the clock, the clock suddenly drops 11 minutes down to 15 minutes. Due to this error the clock reaches…

Hi guys, Totally new the forums. I've just come across you whilst trying to work out whether the behaviour of our brand new, supplier-installed Hotpoint washer/dryer is normal or not.. I've taken a short video here: For context, this is on the 40° cotton cycle, about 150 minutes (two-and-a-half hours or thereabouts) into the cycle. It had been doing this on repeat more-or-less the entire time. It seems as though the machine frequently gets stuck in this cycle of filling, rotating the drum a few times, pausing, and starting filling again to repeat. You never actually see much in the way of water inside the drum, and it seems as though it will quite merrily d…

Hello, I wondered if you could help me. I have just purchased the Hotpoint WMAQF621 washing machine and I am having trouble finding a suitable cycle. All of the cycles seem to be really long and I would like a fast wash option that is under 1 hour. Does anyone know if there is a quicker option on this washing machine? Thanks

We have just bought above and the above states there is a "washing machine cleaning cycle" which you put 10% detergent in and press 2 buttons together for 5 seconds to activate cycle - use at new and after ever 40 washes. The buttons are there and marked, it does not state to put the washing machine cycle knob in any particular position {the know has 16 postion's 14 for cycles and 1 for rinse and 1 for rinse and pump out - no off or other position is provided} - no matter how we try cycle will not run rang Hotpoint Help number and they could not solve just stated at end to use No3 wash at 60 degree temp. Have anybody else came across this problem and have they so…

@ Mt washing machine does not allow enough rinse water in the drum. All items are contaminated with detergent even after a full wash and rinse cycle. It is FOUL. What can be done? Thanks

i got a hotpoint 2in1 washer dry the model no is FDF 9640p uk it’s started to bleep during the wash cycle with no reason there is no error codes on the countdown display. does the cycles completely fine drum is turning normally. i thought it might be trying to tell me to put it on a auto clean cycle which i did then did a normal cycle afterwards then it didn’t bleep at all. but after i put another load of washing in after that one the bleeping started again, so i thought it could be the pump filter this time so did that few days later and it still bleeping, i had some bottles of things at the side of the machine before i taken them out and had it on and no bleeping…
