This post initially linked to a slimline Zanussi washing machine which was a slimline depth washing machine. The height and width were 60 cm but the depth was only 54 cm. Amazingly it had a 7Kg drum. Unfortunately it seems to be no longer available, so I have removed the link. More about small washing machines on Whitegoodshelp Washing machines and associated problems with sizes)

The standard European width for a washing machine is about 600mm. Most washing machines are either 600mm, or 595mm wide. Washing machines can vary slightly in depth and height but the most common washing machine height is 850mm. The depth of a washing machine varies much more and is usually less critical. Any small washing machines I find I will post about in this forum. If you have any information please feel free to post it to help others. I've just created a new article by combining and re-writing 3 different ones on the same subject. It looks at the issue of washing machine heights, widths and depths, with tips on reducing the height of a washing machine and with links to search for appliances with specific measurements. This article is now on my main white goods blog - Washing machines and associated problems with sizes
