A great place for some of the very latest washing machine reviews is the Which? online site. They have over 128 washing machine reviews online. Although you need to be a member to read all the contents of the reviews, there is still some useful information to see if you aren't a member. However, there is a 1 month trial offer for only £1, which is well worth trying and you can start fully researching immediately. I've been a member for nearly 5 years and use the Which? online site to research most of my purchases and many other things - not just washing machines. Which? Special Offer Did you know Which? are a not for profit registered charity and work only for u…

AEG LAVAMAT LW1450 WASHING MACHINE REVIEW Looking inside the AEG LW1450 I can tell it is very similar to the Zanussi washing machines. AEG are slightly above Zanussi in quality but not that much. However, both washing machines are made by Electrolux. This is a well made and solid washing machine. It’s quiet and stable on spin. It has a nice clean and simple design and controls. The control panel information is protected behind a plastic front which will keep it clean and protected. The soap dispenser drawer is large and solid. THINGS I DISLIKE ABOUT IT The tub weights (which all washing machines have) are concrete and concrete tub weights tend to be susceptible to cr…

New to the forum. Sorry if this is a dumb question. Spider disintigrated on my 12 year old duet, Expect more time than that from an appliance. Are the new Duets any better? If not, is there another brand that uses real metal for the spider material?

Does anyone know of any sites that give full details of all wash cycles on washing machines? I have checked quite a few but so far have found none! My washer packed up yesterday and I want to be certain a new one has better wash cycles as I was unhappy with the cycles on this one as there was only one 50c cycle which only had a 800rpm spin speed and also several cycles were over three hours long. This is an Indesit but before that I had a Zanussi and I remember the cycles were not that much better on that one either so I'm determined a new one must have better ones. But I'm not having much luck as nowhere I've looked so far tells you details of all the cycles. Help please…

HOTPOINT FEW10 WASHING MACHINE REVIEW (FIRST EDITION) Some of this review is the same as another washing machine review on the main Washerhelp site as the machines are very similar. The FEW10 washing machine is virtually the same washing machine Hotpoint have produced for many years, which in turn was little different from the Hotpoint washing machines produced for several years previous too. If you have had a Hotpoint washing machine before and the model number started with 95, 99, WM or WD then this washing machine isn't really much different although there are definitely some improvements. (Hotpoint currently sell another range of washing machines where the model nu…

HOTPOINT WF860 WASHING MACHINE REVIEW FIRST IMPRESSIONS This washing machine has a top speed of 1600 rpm and has a large 6Kg drum. It has a nice digital display that informs you of the time left to complete the program as well as the temperature and spin speed settings. You can manually adjust both the spin speed and the temperature of the wash. There is a delay start timer if you are willing to take the chance of letting a washing machine wash while you are out, or in bed. The 6 Kg drum is handy if you have a lot of washing, but the current Hotpoint washing machine range does seem to have problems with smaller awkward loads and can thump around a bit if you put small …

When buying this a year ago we was assured it was ECO friendly, on the electric side it is not so bad but wow it takes in some water, our bill rocketed after starting to use the washing machine. Also not that user friendly it is like trying to crack the Da Vinci code always coming out to wet/damp or the machine runs for 2 and a half hours, which can not be that ECO! but for a budget washing machine in general it is not that bad!!

INDESIT WIL163 WASHING MACHINE REVIEW This washing machine has a 1600 spin speed which is frankly much too fast for a budget washing machine. It just doesn't have the quality of build and suspension to allow a stable and quiet top spin. The washing machine is noisy and moves around a lot on smooth floors. Hoses, and the pressure switch tube inside the machine flapp frantically against the casing on spin and can't be stopped. WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT Well it's cheap so you can't dislike the price. It also has a stainless outer tub which bizarrely only usually happens on the high end quality washing machines. Having said that, I've seen several of these tubs leaking after a …

LG washing machine review, model WM14225FD LG are fairly new in the UK washing machine market. They have a reputation for being quiet. LG washing machines look well made. The WM14225FD has a 7.5Kg drum which is very big. If you don’t wash for a family though it is too big, and small loads may not spin if they can’t be balanced – especially items such as jeans, heavy jumpers, towels and sheets. (Related advice: How do I avoid out of balanced loads in my washing machine?) WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT The LG WM14225FD looks good, it plays nice tunes when you turn it on and has a very big drum which (if you utilise it properly) will mean more washing in less loads, which not …

SERVIS M6011S WASHING MACHINE REVIEW This washing machine looks surprisingly solid and is heavy. It’s a budget washing machine though and the weight is mostly accounted for by the heavy concrete tub weights. The kick strip at the front base of the washing machine rattles and suffers from vibration on spin on the one I tested. This washing machine has a pump filter but no pump filter drain hose ( a small rubber tube with an end stop, where you can drain the water into a bowl if it ever breaks down full of water) You can at least regularly check and clean the filter, but those that don’t will have difficulty not flooding the kitchen if they want to remove and clean a …

The appliance repairman told me that I need a new washer. I read the reviews on Consumer Reports and I looked at these models at Sears: LGWT7200CW LG1501CW I'm not dead set on the above models. Consumer Reports gave highest overall reviews to the LG washers. I'd like a top loading washer that is easy to use, doesn't break down, highly reliable. The appliance repairman recommended that I not buy a LG, Samsung, or Kenmore because those models are more difficult to fix. I live in Honolulu, Hawaii on the island of Oahu. And the sales people at Sears mentioned that only a few people are trained in LG washer repairs on the island. The CR reviews…
