Money Saving Expert
I found the Money Saving Expert site after hearing its creator Martin Lewis on Radio 2. I was struck by his no-nonsense money saving advice and his enthusiasm. It's not directly related to washing machines but it is related to DIY money saving advice and there are forums there where you can explore money saving tips on all subjects - including washing machines. If you are interested in saving money in more ways than you could shake a fiver at, then bookmark his site and get money saving.

Compare washing machine prices (and most other products)
Kelkoo is a great site where you can compare prices to find the cheapest washing machines and other domestic appliances. The great thing about Kelkoo is that they also check out the best prices for CD's, DVD Players, XBox's, Playstation's and many other products (even including travel). There can be quite a big difference between the cheapest, and the most expensive products and they are all listed on one page for comparison. The greatest difference in price I found (for exactly the same washing machine) was £116.99 so I have no hesitation in recommending Kelkoo. Prices include delivery costs and the full specifications of products are usually listed too.
The DIY World
If you are interested in DIY, home Improvements and Home Security, this is a nice looking site with a friendly feel. It's run by Dave Roberts, who is a self-employed Joiner and Locksmith, with over thirty years experience in the building trade The DIY World
DIY Doctor
DIY Doctor is another nice looking site which covers many other aspects of DIY. Two pages that stand out as being particularly useful are Tips & Tricks, and DIY projects.
