  1. does it dissapear when you close the door, if so you have you answer. John.
  2. Hi. I managed to get it out, two big men pulling hard could not get it out, and i have taken a few washers apart over the years, the trick was to press very hard under the center of the drawer as you pull it out. Thanks John.
  3. It does not seem to want to pull out, I have looked for catches, do you need to remove the washer top? Also is there are service or user manual for this machine. Thanks John.
  4. My nephew tried washing up liquid and their was foam everywhere , I have tried W5 stain remover power in the dishwasher and it works great, better than the cheap dish washer tablets, though you might have to add salt of you are in a hard water area. If you get really bad foaming in a washing machine or dishwasher add a little bit of fabric conditioner or in a emergency hair conditioner , and it will kill the bubbles in seconds.
  5. I live in a soft water area, you have some very bad water there, installing a water softener might be worth it in the long run. John. "Hardness in mg/l as calcium carbonate" = 45 "Hardness in mg/l as calcium carbonate" = 18
  6. If the wire is stuck between the inner and outer drum, the only way you are going to get it out is to take the drum apart, I just viewed a video on youtube and it`s a very big job, unless the wire pokes though one of the holes in the inner drum and you can pull it out, it might make it`s way down to the pump and you might be able to remove it from the pump cleaning port if your machine has one, if not you will have to remove the big drain hose that goes from the drum to the pump and see if it is in there.
  7. If you have checked the bearings and they are fine, have you checked the resistance of the armature pads where the brushes touch each side to see if the resistance is the same all the way around, also check the resistance of the armature pads and their neighbours to make sure they are not shorting out, eg nothing conductive between adjacent pads Also check the brushes are not touching two sets of pads on either side. Have you run the motor outside the machine and see if it overheats, does it actually get hot! , to confirm it`s not a faulty thermal fuse. I dont know if any of this will help.
  8. I have a brand new washing machine and i want to keep it clean and running as efficiently as possible, I am going to only use Ariel Bio Powder with Actilift as it seems to get very good reviews, it`s not cheap i bought some today, a fifty wash at lidl is £9.99 for a 42 wash, at Morrisons it`s £12.49 for a fifty and at Asda it`s only £8.00 for a fifty so guess where i bought it from After how many washes should you do a service wash to clean the inside of your washing machine, most of the information i have read say every month, but should it not depend on how many washes you do a week and how hard your water is. I only do one wash a week and my water is soft, so a maintenance wash after only four washes seems like overkill. What is the average number of washes a week does a "normal" family get though to have to clean your machine monthly? Thanks John.
  9. I was looking at the Ecozone Ecoballs1000 brand Wash Balls for just over £20 from Amazon, they get mostly good reviews and 2-3p per wash is tempting, and since i only do around one wash a week they should last me around 19 years Thanks John.
  10. Just ordered an BEKO - WME8227 8kg machine. Should you do a cleaning wash, before you start putting cloths in a new washing machine to remove any dirt/grease ect. I was thinking of running the longest and hottest cotton wash to check the heating element and basically check everything is working fine, but 2-3 hours is a long wash. Thanks John.
  11. I read when washing a duvet to use an non-biological power as the bleach will give a better clean and maybe kill a few more bacteria as a 40c wash is the max temp for most duvets, also it`s not going to affect the colour as it`s white anyway, if you use biological powder any un-rinsed enzymes may be left in the duvet, and maybe smell or whatever. This might be total tosh, but it sounds good
