Thanks. So I discovered that the washing machine does not have a connect to hot water. Is there any way to make it useable for clothing etc? What my wife is worried about is the crud that's settled in the bottom of the machine over the years. Is this really an issue?

I have inherited an old washing machine in the apartment that I rent. It's been used for more than 6 years by other people, and had all kinds of things, like mats, etc, washed in it. Is it OK to use?
