Both are decent makes and from a quick check they appear to be around the same price. The Bosch is rated very highly in the latest [Which? Laundry & cleaning although as with almost all washing machines these days Which? say it's "poor" at rinsing. (Details of Which? 1 month online trial and copy of Which? magazine offer for just £1)

Siemens are normally a more expensive brand so the reason the prices are similar is because the Siemens only has a 6Kg drum although it has a 1400 spin but the Bosch has 1200. The Bosch is a 7kg drum (a Siemens with a 7kg drum is likely to be more expensive).

With these two washing machines I would say the winner should be the one with the most important feature to you - a 7kg drum or a 1400 spin. If it's the big drum go for the Bosch but if spin speed is more important maybe you'll favour the Siemens.

Although the Siemens has a 1400 spin and the Bosch only 1200 they are both rated as spin efficiency B. This shows that either many spin speeds are a con and there's little difference between 1400 and 1200 or the eco labels are flawed because they don't highlight any difference wand give each speed the exact same rating. I have verbose comments on both these subjects here - Washing machine spin speeds | ECO labels and washing machines
