Dear WasherHelp,

Just wanted to thank you for the advice on your website. I have a washing machine that went on the blink....with some of the advice on your site it's now up and running. My wife is happy and I didn't have to spend the £300 I thought I was going to have to.

Even better, I didn't have to have some rip off artist come by and feed me a line of crap and steal my money. Thanks again, keep up the good work.....companies like yours that use the internet to inform and do business deserve all the success in the world.

Sincerely,

Jim ****l

Andy, what can I say. Absolutely brilliant. Working perfectly now.

Thanks to your advice, help, guidance and general honest straightforward approach I, as a complete novice, have managed to fix the machine rather than have to get an engineer in with all the associated expense, or worse still buy a new one if getting it fixed was too much hassle.

Great website, great service. Nice to see that there are honest, useful sites on the web which restores faith.

Tim

Subject: great site

Just a line to say that your site is great. I recently had a problem with my Hoover New Wave Plus 5 Washer dryer 1400 . It kept giving an E1 error at the end of the cycle and not completing a spin, leaving clothes very soggy YUCK !

After reading your threads to other people having similar problems. I was able to fix it by myself without any help from any of my male friends "Thanx to you" VERY liberating I can tell you. The washer now works perfectly every time. I'm now looking at more threads hoping someone has come across the same problem i'm now having with the dryer cycle. I understand you are busy constructing your site and wish you every success. I just ask one thing of you.

As soon as you are ready to take new members . Is there any chance you can email me and let me know. As i am an independent woman and would like to be able to fix my machine "with a little help" but without getting the repair man in.As fixing things with my own hands is starting to give me untold satisfaction ha ha. Keep up the great work.

Yours Sincerely Anne

Subject: Thanks - your site is brilliant

Andy - I was about to junk a 5 year old Zanussi because it was over filling, when I thought I'd see if there was any help on the internet. Reading on your forum a problem with over filling - I tried your suggestions. It took me only an hour to track the problem down, it was a the sump thingy that is connected by a tube to the pressure switch - it had become blocked with gunge so I cleaned it out and refitted - the problem is well and truly fixed. I would like to express my thanks to you, you have saved me £250 in replacement fee. I also notice you are based in Sheffield - I'm from Rotherham - so I class this as a joint South Yorkshire triumph.

Regards
Steve

Hi Andy
Thanks so much for your help.
You quickly and concisely identified the problem, your directions were easy to follow, and the pictures really helped. I did have problems along the way, but felt confident because I knew I could come back to you, and each time you gave correct and meaningful advice, that I could easilly follow. I've not only saved money by consulting you, but I have more confidence in resolving this kind of problem.
With someone to refer to, the average person can fix these things themselves. The parts you said I needed arrived next day, and did the job. If you would like me to recommend you to anyone, feel free to give them my email address.

I am highly impressed that you can think this through and give advice based on my observations.
Regards
Rob

Hi Andy,

Thanks very much, well worth the money. Saved me a fortune and got the washing machine up and running very quickly. It was precisely what you diagnosed and the instructions were totally clear and easy to folow. Considering another washing machine engineer had tol me it was the timer and it was gooing to cost £70 for the part and another £60 ish for the labour I can't thank you enough.
I shall certainly recommend your services to anyone else.

Cheers Alex :)

Once again thank you for your invaluable advice and a very prompt and efficient service. The parts arrived on Tuesday, are fitted and the washer is now connected up and in full working order. By the way your Web Site is pretty good too.

Thanks again Bob H******

Hi Andy,
Got to do the job yesterday - had a day off to look after the kids @ half term.
Thanks to your help, I was able to do the job without too much bother..believe me, if I had to "go it alone" and attempted the job "blind" so to speak, I would have had a lot more trouble - even down to finding some of the front panel screws! Why do they put them in such inaccessible places??

Once again many thanks from myself and jeers from my wife who wanted to spend my hard earned on a new appliance...what IS it with these thirty odd year olds? They think that if something like this breaks down, you go out and get a new one on credit!! Haven't they heard of make do and mend? That is the way I was brought up (I'm 46), but sadly isn't the norm in this day and age of instant gratification. I could go on, but I would sound like Victor Meldrew....
